This is a yummy and simple recipe that I got here. I just wanted to take a straw and suck up all the juices with it.
2 Granny Smith apples
2 cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
cinnamon
1 small can Mountain Dew
Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.

Rob is gonna love his. Combines his 2 fave things, apples and Mt Dew. I had noticed your other blog was gone, I was just way lazy with my blog and haven't done anything with it.
Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmm. That is all I can say. I tried two of your recipes last night for dinner and dessert. We could hear our arteries clogging as we ate (4 sticks of butter together). But you know what, once in a great while it is worth it. The cheesy potatoes and apple dessert were AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks!
Mmmmm these were SOO delicous last night Letti!

they were awesome! made them twice this week (so far, lol)
Made it a couple weeks ago for a quick dessert. Used lemon-lime soda instead--still turned out great. Found another similar recipe on an FHE website:
Apple Presents
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 (11-ounce) tube refrigerated bread stick dough
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine zest, sugar, and cinnamon; set aside. Pour orange juice in the bottom of a deep-dish plate or glass pan. Unroll refrigerator dough and separate at perforations to form 12 strips. Place 3 to 4 apple slices at the end of each strip of dough and roll up.
Place in prepared pan. Brush melted butter over the presents and then sprinkle with cinnamon-zest mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
